Summer festivals
Did you miss Coachella, Glastonbury and Tomorrowland? Do not panic, and no need to go so far away. To catch up, I have spotted for you some festivals in France this summer !
Every summer, festivals do their best to welcome us and make us dance all day and night. In France too, their are many, jazz festivals, pop-rock, classical and much more. There is a festival for everyone. Here are some festivals still confidential, to be discovered this summer
#1. Le Summer Sound festival, du 03 Août au 6 Août 2017 à Rochefort
If you are on holidays between La Rochelle and Royan or on the île of Ré or Oléron, have a stop at Rochefort. For this 3rd edition of its 100% electro festival, Summer Sound (http://summersound.fr) welcomes Afrojack, Dillon Francis, Loge21, Bass Jackers, Madeon and the one we no longer present, Martin Solveig.
In the beautiful setting of La Corderie Royale, you will be able to enjoy 4 days of electro music dancing to the mixes of the biggest DJs.
The first 100% electro festival of the South-West of France.
#2. Musicalarue, du 12 Août au 14 Août 2017 à Luxey
If you are spending your summer in the Landes and you know how to find Luxey on a map? Stop at the Musiclarue festival (http://www.musicalarue.com). It is the story of a little local party between friends that became huge, and it is in this atypical village (700 inhabitants to the year) that since 28years, thousands of festival goers meetup. This year there will be Miossec, Matmatah, Chinese Man, Véronique Sanson and Michel Fugain and lots more. An eclectic program that will delight every ear.
#3. La Route du Rock, du 17 Août au 20 Août 2017 à Saint Malo
For the lovers of Brittany, make a stop at the festival La Route du Rock (http://www.laroutedurock.com) to enjoy the warm and unique atmosphere of Saint-Malo. If you like rock, indie and alternative, and especially PJ Harvey, Mac Demarco, Interpol, and The Jesus and Mary Chaine, this festival is for you. This line-up will definitely blow a wind of madness on the ramparts of Saint-Malo!
#4. Le Cabaret Vert, du 24 Août au 27 Août 2017 à Charleville-Mézières
Our favorite Festival is in the north-east of France, in Charleville-Mézières. 94,000 festival-goers in 2016 came to enjoy this “ecolo-rock” festival. This year, you will dance on pop, rock and urban sounds. The 2017 edition will receive Jain, Franz Ferdinand, Cypress Hill, Flume, Fishbach, as well as Justice. A crazy line-up that worth a look, in an environmentally friendly space. Four full days of concerts to enjoy the last days of the summer, in the green landscape of the Ardennes. A good way to let off steam before September !
